Arsenal new boy Kieran Tierney gives injury update before Tottenham clash… to a fan

Arsenal’s new full-back Kieran Tierney gave a fan an update on when he would make his debut.

The Scot was at the Emirates for the Gunners’ match against Tottenham.

Unai Emery’s side lost the north London derby 2-1 in a fiery match-up.

Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane scored for the visitors before Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang pegged them back.

Fans were left furious with stars such as Granit Xhaka.

But they also saw summer recruits such as Dani Ceballos and Nicolas Pepe.

One star still waiting to make his debut is Tierney, who was recruited from Celtic for £25m.

The 22-year-old is recovering from a hip injury he picked up over the summer.

This has brought speculation about the Scot’s return to action.

But Tierney appears to have given an update – to a fan.

The supporter posted a selfie with the new Gunners star outside the Emirates on Reddit earlier today.

And the Gunners faithful were excited at the news.

“Fantastic,” one supporter said.

Another commented: “Good work.”

While a third made a big claim about the Scot’s season in north London.

“Tierney will be the best LB in the Premier League, mark my words,” they said.

And a fourth added: “Hug him from all of us.”

It comes as Aubameyang stunned fans with his skills against Spurs.
