Arsenal are in talks with former FC Porto midfielder Yacine Brahimi, according to a report in England.
Sky Sports is reporting that Arsenal are in discussions with Brahimi, who is available to sign on a free transfer in the summer transfer window.
However, the same article states that the Gunners aren’t close to agreeing personal terms with the experienced Algeria international.
According to the same story, Brahimi could also be a target for West Ham United given that the Hammers were interested in the African star last summer.
Brahimi scored 10 goals and made two assists for FC Porto in the Portuguese top flight last season before being released this summer.
Arsenal are looking to bolster their squad ahead of the new season after the Gunners could only muster a fifth-placed finish in Unai Emery’s debut campaign in charge.
The Gunners managed to reach the Europa League final but Emery was unable to win the competition for a fourth time after Chelsea FC beat their London rivals 4-1.
Arsenal appointed Emery as their new manager after Arsene Wenger left the Gunners last summer following successive finishes outside the top four.
The north London side have also been linked with Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha in recent days as Emery looks to add more pace to his team.
