Arsenal have held talks with FC Barcelona flop Malcom about a potential move to The Emirates this summer, according to a report in England.
The Sun, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that the Gunners have been in negotiations with Malcom’s representatives in the English capital about a potential transfer.
The same article states that FC Barcelona would like to keep Malcom despite the arrival of Atletico Madrid and France forward Antoine Griezmann at the weekend.
According to the same story, the La Liga champions are demanding a £50m transfer fee to sell the promising Brazilian forward in the summer transfer window.
The report adds that Malcom wants £200,000 a week to move to the north London side despite failing to impress during his two years at FC Barcelona so far.
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal could match the lavish demands of FC Barcelona or Malcom given that Unai Emery is working within tight financial constraints this summer.
Arsenal are looking to bolster their squad in the summer transfer window ahead of the new Premier League season.
The Gunners have failed to qualify for the Champions League in the last three seasons under Arsene Wenger and Emery.
The north London side failed to win a trophy last term following a 4-1 loss to Chelsea FC in the Europa League final at the end of May.
