Gunners boss Unai Emery is on the hunt for a centre-back after failing to solve the team’s problems at the back last term.
According to Soccer Link, Kimpembe has emerged as a potential target.
Arsenal reportedly contacted the France international’s father to discover whether a transfer would be possible.
Kimpembe is well known to Emery after breaking through during the Spaniard’s reign at Parc des Princes.
Arsenal face a battle to lure Kimpembe to the Emirates Stadium, however.
Soccer Link claim he is eager to stay at PSG despite the potential arrival of Matthijs de Ligt from Ajax.
Arsenal are not the only Premier League club interested in securing Kimpembe’s services.
In other Arsenal news:
Manchester United are monitoring developments as they look for a central defender to partner Victor Lindelof.
The Red Devils fancy a string of defensive targets including Leicester City ace Harry Maguire and Kalidou Koulibaly of Napoli.
Chelsea – facing the prospect of a two-window transfer ban – are also sniffing around.
Kimpembe is currently on holiday after his season was brought to a premature end.
The 23-year-old defender underwent surgery on a troublesome groin injury last month.
“Presnel Kimpembe underwent a procedure on his groin on Thursday morning at the Sports Clinic in Paris,” a PSG statement read.
“Led by Dr. Gilles Reboul, the intervention was conducted without problems. His rehabilitation will begin in the next few days.”
