Arsenal‘s hopes of signing Yannick Carrasco have been boosted as the winger’s relationship with his current club appears to be on the rocks.
Carrasco’s move to Dalian was seen as a major coup for the club established in 2009.

But he has now been hit with disciplinary action after failing to return from international duty promptly, due to a missed flight connection.
Carrasco has been told to stay away from training.
‘Yannick Carrasco of the Dalian Football Club was absent from the away game against Hebei China Fortune and missed training,’ read a club statement, which has been translated from Chinese.
Arsenal are interested in the Belgium winger
‘The club now imposes the following penalties on him: Order Carrasco to apologise to the team within three days and stop training.
‘The club has always attached importance to the team’s discipline construction, and no individual is above the collective.
‘The club treats everyone equally.’
According to The Mirror, Arsenal have been following Carrasco’s situation and are now ‘circling’ with the intent of making a move.
Carrasco would likely cost close to £30million, which is more than half of Arsenal’s initial transfer budget of £45m.
News of Carrasco’s suspension comes just a say after he was blasted by team-mate Yu Ziqian, who fumed on social media: ‘You’re a star and you play well, but you can’t win a game by yourself.
‘When we played Shanghai Greenland Shenhua you deliberately got a fourth yellow card (in the season) and got a suspension to avoid playing Shanghai SIPG; and then you went back to Europe ahead of schedule.

‘When we played Hebei China Fortune you told the club your plane was late. If you came back one day earlier, how could you be late?
‘Now you are back, but you don’t even move in training. When we play training matches you just stand around the pitch, you do not attack and do not defend.
‘The atmosphere of team training has been ruined. As a professional football player, training and games are as important as life.
‘No matter how important a person is, he cannot override the team. I really hope we can say a nice goodbye to you just like we welcomed you at the beginning!’
