Hector Bellerin is set to miss the start of next season with Arsenal as he continues his recovery from a knee injury, according to reports in the British media.
The Evening Standard, as quoted by The Sun, is reporting that the Spaniard is set to miss the start of next term as he continues his rehabilitation.
The Arsenal defender underwent an operation on his ACL ligament in January after suffering the problem during the clash against Chelsea FC.
Bellerin was initially ruled out of action for around nine months, but according to the same story, there are concerns about his progress as he looks to get back fit as quickly as possible.
The 24-year-old Spaniard was a regular fixture in the Arsenal team until suffering his injury, and he had made five assists in 19 Premier League games for Unai Emery’s men before the setback.
Arsenal are thought to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as Emery looks to bolster his squad ahead of next season.
The Gunners finished in fifth place in the Premier League table and without a trophy after they lost the Europa League final to Chelsea FC in Baku.
