Unai Emery’s side missed out on the chance to play Champions League football for the new campaign after finishing fifth in the Premier League.
One player to be criticised throughout the season is Shkodran Mustafi.
The German has made errors in defence, such as an “own goal” in training.
It has seen the club linked with moves for defenders, including PSG star Presnel Kimpembe.
But one defender already on the books who has impressed this season is Bielik.
The Polish full-back has been in north London since 2014 but has only made two appearances.
He has spent the last hree seasons on loan, the latest coming at Charlton Athletic.
Bielik’s skills come as:
And the 21-year-old helped his side to a Championship promotion, scoring four goals in 34 appearances.
This earned the defender a place in his country’s Under-21 side for the European Championships in Italy.
Footage has emerged of Bielik taking the chance to show his value.
In the clip, Poland are taking on Belgium in the opening game of the tournament.
The Gunners youngster is playing at centre-back with only 12 minutes gone.
And Bielik picks up the ball in his own half to run at the attackers.
After a one-two with Patryk Dziczek, the 21-year-old runs deep into the opposition half.
In a separate clip, he moves the ball around Belgian forward Aaron Iseka.
And he strides past another tackle from Orel Mangala before moving to the right wing.
Bielik even gets to the goal-line before moving the ball back to his team-mate.
Poland went on to win the game 3-2.
This footage was shared on Twitter earlier today, where the Gunners faithful hailed the youngster.
“He is a great talent,” one supporter said.
Another commented: “Looks good on the ball.
While a third simply said: “He can’t be worse than Mustafi.”
But fans were left fuming at famous supporter Piers Morgan for what he did at Soccer Aid.
