Arsenal fans have blasted Unai Emery for his team selection as the Gunners look to down Bournemouth at the Emirates today.
Dani Ceballos is the only Gunner to survive Unai Emery’s chopping and changing and there is no sign of Mesut Ozil once again.
Seven of those who started the Europa League demolition drop down to the bench, including Gabriel Martinelli who scored twice.
Back in to midfield come captain Granit Xhaka, who was slated for a training blunder yesterday , and Matteo Guendouzi.
The entire defence is overhauled with Kieran Tierney and Rob Holding making way, while Hector Bellerin is not in the squad altogether.
Arsenal fans on social media are concerned that Emery is so quick to change a defence that has kept three clean sheets in Europe and the Carabao Cup.
“Benching players again. Unai Emery is a dummy,” lambasted one supporter.
“I’m genuinely embarrassed at how we’re treating Ozil,” added another.
A third Gooner joked: “Certain things in life 1. Death 2. Tax 3. Ozil never start again under Unai.”
“If Ozil isnt in the squad because “others deserve it more” then why does Xhaka play week in week out ahead of other better midfielders. Emery is a hypocrite.”
Bukayo Saka teams up in attack with Nicolas Pepe and the in-form Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
And the 18-year-old’s inclusion drew an unequivocally positive reaction with kick-off approaching.
“Saka hat-trick pending,” tweeted one Arsenal supporter.
“Emery starting Saka again, hook it up to my veins,” addd another.
Arsenal hero Martin Keown is concerned that £72m signing Pepe might block Saka’s progress.
Speaking on BT Sports, he said: “If you think back to Arsene Wenger, he would have never of blocked the path of a young player but they are in danger of doing that with Bukayo Saka.
“Pepe, is he going to get into the team? It’s a massive amount of money they have paid for him and Lille will be laughing all the way to the bank with that one.”
