Arsenal fans dub youngster ‘new Cesc Fabregas’ after stunning U23s goal

Arsenal fans think they have the “new Cesc Fabregas” in their academy after his stunning goal against Derby.

The Gunners are preparing to take on Tottenham in the north London derby.

Unai Emery will look to stars such as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to fire the side ahead.

But the Spaniard has also given youngsters a chance in the first XI, including Academy graduate Joe Willock.

Footage has now emerged of another talent rising through the ranks – Robbie Burton.

In the clip, the 19-year-old is playing for the Under-23s against Derby in Premier League 2 Division 1.

The Gunners are 2-0 down with 20 minutes to go.

Burton picks up the ball on the right wing and immediately attacks the penalty box.

He plays a one-two with Tyreece John-Jules to move further in.

And he repeats this with substitute Josh Shonibare.

The midfielder then whips a curling shot into the net past goalkeeper Jonathan Mitchell.

Burton does not take time to celebrate, though, as he gathers the ball quickly.

The young Gunners went on to salvage a 2-2 draw at the iPro Stadium.

This footage was quickly shared on Reddit, where the Gunners faithful hailed the teenager.

“This kid looks good,” one supporter said.

Another commented: “Another talented kid to watch.”

While a third compared Burton to a club legend.

“Reminds me so much of Cesc [Fabregas],” they said.

And a fourth added: “Wearing No.4 like Cesc.”

But fans were baffled as Emery has compared Sead Kolasinac to Roberto Carlos .
