The Gunners star was part of the Three Lions side that drew 3-3 with Croatia last night.
Nelson spent last season on loan at Bundesliga side 1899 Hoffenheim after making only three appearances in north London the year before.
He enjoyed a successful campaign in Germany, scoring eight goals in 31 appearances.
This earned the 19-year-old a place in the Three Lions’ Under-21 European Championship side.
And footage from last night’s game shows the Gunners star is grabbing his chance to impress.
In the clip, both sides are level after 10 minutes.
But Manchester City star Phil Foden, who scored a stunning goal in the first game of the tournament, finds Nelson with a scything ball.
The forward is running into the penalty box, with only defender Branimir Kalaica in the way.
He manages to move the ball away from the Croatian but gets his feet taken away in the tackle.
And a penalty is immediately awarded to England.
Nelson steps up to take the set piece he won, striding back and looking focussed.
The 19-year-old skips forward when the referee’s whistle is blown.
And the Gunners star sends goalkeeper Ivo Grbic the wrong way, slotting into the bottom-right corner.
Nelson is soon surrounded by his team-mates, who celebrate getting the lead.
This footage was shared on Twitter before being published on Reddit earlier today.
And the Gunners faithful hailed their young star’s impact on the Three Lions.
“That’s my boy,” one supporter said.
“Excited to see him next season”
Another commented: “Great movement and feet.”
While a third suggested the manager should consider Nelson a first team member.
“Excited to see him next season,” they said.
And a fourth added: “This should give him a nice boost of confidence in pre-season.”
But team-mate Ainsley Maitland-Niles left fans fuming with his revelation.
