Arsenal defender David Luiz bemoans costly errors against Tottenham
Arsenal defender David Luiz has bemoaned costly errors which led to Tottenham‘s goals in the 2-2 draw in the north London derby on Sunday.
Tottenham went 2-0 ahead after sloppy defending from the Gunners, with Christian Eriksen tapping home from close range before Harry Kane converted a penalty after a terrible Granit Xhaka tackle on Son Heung-min.
‘I think [the criticism] is normal, in my all my career it has been like that, especially when you are a defender,’ he told Sky Sports.

‘Strikers never lose games unless if they miss a penalty in the last minute, this is football.
‘The defenders have to take responsibility and take [criticism] in a good way, in a humble way. We need to understand when we make a mistake and say that.’
Fortunately for Unai Emery’s side, Alexandre Lacazette pulled a goal back on the stroke of half-time before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang netted the equaliser in the 71st minute.
