Arsenal contact Mino Raiola over £36m Moise Kean transfer… but Everton have an advantage

The Gunners are desperate for fresh faces this summer as they look to bounce back from a disappointing campaign last season.

Unai Emery has a budget of just £45m to spend and as well as needing reinforcements at the back, Arsenal are in need of new attacking options.

Wilfried Zaha is their No.1 target but with Crystal Palace demanding at least £80m, they may risk being priced out of a move.

Kean has emerged as an alternative and Juventus are reportedly keen to sell him once they’ve tied him down to a long-term deal.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal have approached Kean’s agent Raiola about a potential deal.

The striker has also been linked with a move to Everton.

Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici has made it clear he’s willing to sell Kean but only if a buyback clause is inserted into the deal.

The Italian giants are reportedly willing to sell for around €35m (£31.5m) but they’d want the option to buy him back for €40m (£36m) in two years.

“I want all of the budget going on players now that will make an impact.”

Arsenal hero Perry Groves

Arsenal are unwilling to agree to the clause and would prefer to pay a higher fee now in order to avoid it.

However, Everton would be happy to agree to Juve’s conditions, putting them in pole position to sign Kean.

Arsenal are close to sealing the signing of William Saliba from Saint-Etienne, but the defender will return to France on loan.

But with the north London side needing players to come in and make a difference this season, club hero Perry Groves is furious about the deal.

“They’re in for William Saliba,” he told talkSPORT.

“He’s £26m and they’ll loan him back.

“They’re not in a position to do that.
