Arsenal are reportedly closing to securing the signature of Celtic defender Kieran Tierney after making a second bid of £20m plus add-ons.
Hoops boss Neil Lennon recently acknowledged that the Gunners had an offer rejected for the left-back and they would have to come up with a better package to do business.
According to Sunday Post, the north London giants are said to have made a £20m bid plus add-ons for the defender after their initial £18m package was turned down by the Scottish champions.
The same report claims the Gunners are increasingly optimistic that their latest transfer offer would be sufficient to lure the Scotland international from Parkhead.
Tierney has spent his entire career with the Hoops and has racked 170 appearances in all competitions. He is currently at the final stages of recovery from a double hernia operation.
