Arsenal could sell up to nine players in the summer transfer window in a bid to raise as much funds as possible.
One of those that could be shipped out is French forward Alexandre Lacazette, whose place in the starting line-up has not been guaranteed of late.
Arteta knows he needs to strengthen in some key areas this summer but he is currently on a tight budget to sign the players he wants.
The FA Cup win has helped somewhat, with another £30million added to the coffers due to the team qualifying for next season’s Europa League.
But Arteta knows he will have to sell players if he is to bring in any of his top targets.
And, according to the Daily Mail , up to nine first-team stars could be heading for the exit at the Emirates.
The reports claim that the likes of Sokratis, Matteo Guendouzi, Lucas Torreira, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Sead Kolasinac could all be sold.
While Lacazette and Hector Bellerin could both be moved on if an appropriate offer is made.
Lacazette would be the most high profile departure if he was sold but with a couple of years left on his current deal, he would command a decent transfer fee.
The former Lyon star has found himself behind Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in attack and is also having to compete with several up and coming, younger attacking options.
Arteta is keen to add Atletico Madrid ‘s Thomas Partey and a new central defender despite welcoming William Saliba to the Emirates.
A permanent deal for Dani Ceballos is also on the agenda with the midfielder set for talks with parent club Real Madrid.
