Arsenal have hired former player Edu as technical director this summer as a replacement for Mislintat.
It means that there is a new face at the Emirates helping to get transfers in over the line.
Edu fulfils many of the duties that Mislintat took care of during his short stint in north London.
The German, who was hired in November 2017, left Arsenal earlier this year in a shock move but a report has emerged suggesting he had a different opinion to Emery over one major signing.
Mislintat was responsible for many of the transfers that took place during his brief time, including Matteo Guendouzi, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Lucas Torreira.
But the scout was reportedly left dismayed by Emery when he took the executive decision to snap up Suarez from Barcelona.
The midfielder joined on loan from the Catalan outfit on deadline day in January, and according to The Times, Mislintat was left fuming.
The former Borussia Dortmund chief was keen on the Gunners incorporating young talents such as Joe Willock and Bukayo Saka.
But he left shortly after Suarez was signed amid the clash of opinion.
Mislintat was one of three people that decided to hand Emery the job following the end of Arsene Wenger’s reign.
However, their relationship reportedly broke down and by February he had left.
“It’s been an amazing experience to work at a great club like Arsenal in what has been a big time of change,” Mislintat said at the time.
“I am excited about what the future holds for the club and am looking forward to new challenges for myself.”
The 46-year-old has since joined Stuttgart while Suarez went on to be a flop at the Emirates.
The Spaniard made just four appearances in the Premier League, all off the bench, before injury ended his season.
