United are desperate to speed up their transfer business after a relatively slow start to what should be a big summer.
Daniel James has been the only arrival after joining from Swansea earlier in the month for a fee around £15m.
But with many areas in the United squad requiring major surgery, fans are growing tired of the lack of progress over more targets.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has demanded a right-back, a centre-back and another midfielder, as well as potential replacements for mooted departures.
Old Trafford chief Ed Woodward is currently haggling with Crystal Palace over the signing of Wan-Bissaka but a fee has yet to be agreed.
Reports emerged that the full-back is keen on moving to United but the Eagles have demanded £55m for the 21-year-old.
On social media, supporters have been going crazy after an old picture of the Croydon-born star surfaced with him in a United shirt.
Several big United fan accounts have been tweeting it out much to the delight of their followers, convinced that his love for the club will push him to the Theatre of Dreams.

But Wan-Bissaka is not a United fan himself – he has confessed in the past that he comes from an Arsenal-supporting family.
He said in January: ”It was hard for me growing up, because Palace were my local team, but my family supported Arsenal.
“When I was younger, I wanted to score goals, and that was what Thierry Henry was doing, playing in a similar position to where I used to play.”
Wan-Bissaka also revealed that Thierry Henry was his hero growing up, not the likes of Ruud van Nistelrooy, Wayne Rooney or even United’s legendary right-back Gary Neville.
As well as the England Under-21 international, Solskjaer has demanded several more young, British talents.
Declan Rice, Harry Maguire, Jadon Sancho and Sean Longstaff are all on the United shortlist.
However, with growing angst among the Red Devils’ fanbase – Woodward faces an uphill struggle to secure all of his manager’s targets.
