BT Sport pundit predicts where Arsenal, Chelsea FC will finish

Jermaine Jenas is backing Chelsea FC to beat Arsenal to a top-four finish in the Premier League this season.

The Blues have been earning lots of praise for their recent fine form under Frank Lampard following the former midfielder’s appointment at Stamford Bridge in the summer.

Chelsea FC won their sixth Premier League game in a row on Saturday when they claimed an impressive 2-0 win over Crystal Palace in front of their home fans.

Arsenal, meanwhile, have been struggling to find consistent form in the Premier League this season and they currently find themselves out of the top four as they bid to return to the Champions League.

The Gunners lost 2-0 to Leicester City on Saturday evening to leave Arsenal in sixth position and nine points adrift of Chelsea FC.

Former Spurs midfielder Jenas has been so impressed by Chelsea FC’s start to the new season under Lampard that he has chosen to tip them to replace Arsenal in the top four this term.

Speaking to BT Sport on Saturday, Jenas said: “Originally I was [predicting] Spurs and Arsenal [along with Liverpool FC and Man City].

“But I think Arsenal’s season has been disastrous.

“Although they’re much higher in the table than Spurs, it’s just been more mayhem at that football club.

“And even the manager now seems to be under a lot of pressure, so I don’t think they’ll make it.

Chelsea FC’s next game is a crunch Premier League clash against Manchester City on 23 November.

The Blues are aiming to try and retain their spot in the top four this season after they finished third under Maurizio Sarri last term.

Chelsea FC have not won the Premier League since their triumph under Antonio Conte in 2017.
