Nketiah played his first game for the club in the 3-0 Carabao Cup win away at Salford City and notched a debut goal.
The 20-year-old is highly-rated at Arsenal but boss Unai Emery allowed him to leave this summer to get more first team experience.
But many Gunners fans think Nketiah is ready to stake a claim for the Arsenal first team after his impressive displays in pre-season.
He netted three goals on the tour of the USA, which included a last-minute winner against Bayern Munich and a brace against Fiorentina.
Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa had chased the youngster all summer and was glad to get the deal done towards the end of the transfer window.
Nketiah sat out Leeds’ Championship game against Nottingham Forest last weekend, as well as their season opener at Bristol City.
But he was handed a debut by Bielsa in the 3-0 win at Salford, bagging the opener with a clinical finish on 43 minutes.
The striker gambled with Helder Costa racing down the right flank and was on hand to slot the ball home from six yards out.
After seeing the goal live on Sky Sports, Arsenal fans reacted by reminding Leeds fans that Nketiah is only on loan.
“Here @LUFC fans don’t get to attached to our @EddieNketiah9 you are only getting him for the one season. He’ll be back home next season,” wrote one fan.
“He’s so lovely Future of Arsenal enjoy him while you can,” said another.
One Arsenal fan wrote: “Eddie Nketiah doing bits for Leeds but we know he is ours.”
While another said: “Enjoy him while you can Leeds fans, it’s only a temporary ting.”
And another said: “Nketiah embarrassing Emery there, is he on loan for the whole season?”
Leeds were drawn at home to Stoke City in the next round of the Carabao Cup.
